Step into a winter-themed STEM adventure where students explore coding, creativity, and hands-on engineering. This STEM Saturday transforms our Dothan space into Cocoa, Cookies & Codeβa cozy environment where logic, teamwork, and festive fun come together.
On Saturday, December 13, 2025, the RCX Sports Foundation invites students in grades 4+ to dive into seasonal coding challenges and take on a guided engineering project. Students will rotate through activities that mix digital creativity with real-world problem-solving, enjoying warm cocoa and sweet treats throughout the morning.
πͺ Coding Logic Challenges β Students use age-friendly coding tools to solve winter-themed puzzles, create sequences, and explore the logic behind programming.
π Creative Coding Stations β Mini-activities such as animated holiday cards, pattern-based coding games, and unplugged logic exercises.
π§ Hydraulic Arm Build β Students work in small groups to design and assemble a working hydraulic arm using syringes, tubing, and popsicle sticks. Theyβll learn how fluid power creates movement and how engineers use hydraulics in real machines.
π‘ STEM Career Connections β Explore how coding, mechanics, and hydraulics appear in fields like robotics, heavy equipment, aviation, and industrial engineering.
